    <title>In Defense of the Princess Taz</title>

    <content type="html">&lt;font color="#800000" size="4"&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;***Warning:&amp;nbsp; the following entry&amp;nbsp;may be offensive to those wearing furcoats***&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;font color="#0000ff"&gt;Princess has always been quick to bite.&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;As a responsible pet owner,&amp;nbsp;I read every article I could find and gave her corrections.&amp;nbsp; But I also looked for any sound, smell etc that could explain her action so I could eliminate it.&lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;The last two bites I can understand - not appreciate, understand.&lt;br /&gt;The new scar-in-the-making on my right leg is due to Princess' defending her territory (Rabbitland aka living room)&amp;nbsp;against the intruder (shocking pink Crocs.&amp;nbsp; Doc told me no more barefeet).&amp;nbsp; Her second attempt to attack them resulted in a timeout in her taxi, as I was trying to clean her crate.&lt;br /&gt;The bite on the heel of my hand was in defense of her territory (I was reaching in to change out her l. pan).&amp;nbsp; I still had a white bandage on.&amp;nbsp; Her teeth either bit through the wrapping or got under the edge.&amp;nbsp; She immediately was put in her taxi&amp;nbsp;while I finished w/her crate.&lt;br /&gt;When she returned, I left the room to tend to&amp;nbsp;the bite and I could hear her rattling her crate door at being "ignored".&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Next time I have her in my arms, I am going to try to check her eyes w/a flashlight.&amp;nbsp; I'll consult MediRabbit first so I'll know what I'm looking for - just to be sure her lunging isn't a result of altered vision.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt;</content>

    <content type="html">&lt;font color="#0000ff" size="4"&gt;Last night Princess and I had to&amp;nbsp;leave home -&amp;nbsp;fire alarm.&amp;nbsp; After calling 911, I got Princess' taxi past the blaring thing right outside our door and into the stairwell.&amp;nbsp; I&amp;nbsp; made my way down two flights of stairs, slowly.&amp;nbsp; I didn't want to drop her or trip.&lt;br /&gt;Outside&amp;nbsp;I was met with more humidity than we'd had earlier which was bad enough.&amp;nbsp; Didn't see any smoke&amp;nbsp;from either of our connecting buildings. &lt;div&gt;By the time I got to the door near the lobby, the siren was turned off so I went in and&amp;nbsp;rested on the bench in the lobby.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;I&amp;nbsp;saw a couple of guys going toward the connecting corridor to&amp;nbsp;the other&amp;nbsp;building and as soon as they opened the door, one of them said I can smell something for sure.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;So I took us&amp;nbsp;home via the elevator.&amp;nbsp; Once there, I carefully let P.T. return to her house crate and gave her a willow branch as an apology.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;The amount of discomfort resulting from this unscheduled activity had me wishing for something stronger than Tylenol.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;So I called the pharmacist and was told it would be okay to increase from 2 to 3&amp;nbsp;Tylenol every 5hrs.&amp;nbsp; He said the &amp;nbsp;main thing to watch for is not to exceed 4000mg/day.&amp;nbsp; He suggested Ibuprophen so&amp;nbsp; I told him I was already taking 600mg 3xday per dr. instructions.&amp;nbsp; He didn't see a problem w/the added tylenol.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;So that, ice and rest is how today will be spent.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This morning I was glad to see rain - we need it so much.&lt;br /&gt;It's a gentle rain, which shouldn't hinder recovery efforts at the bridge.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/font&gt;</content>

    <title>Bridge Collapse</title>

    <content type="html">&lt;font color="#993366" size="4"&gt;We have several bridges here in the Twin Cities.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;Yesterday, around 6 p.m.&amp;nbsp;the 35W bridge&amp;nbsp;that crosses over the Mississippi River in the downtown area collapsed.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Still doesn't seem real.&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;The bridge had only two of its eight lanes open due to construction, so that's a blessing.&lt;br /&gt;Other bridges downriver have been&amp;nbsp;closed and will be checked for debris impact and other safety issues.&lt;br /&gt;This is the sort of situation that can bring out&amp;nbsp;the best&amp;nbsp;in people.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;And there were numerous reports of people helping where they could.&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;I'm so glad I was able to reach my son to know he's safe.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There are seven confirmed dead and it sounds like tomorrow will be a recovery effort downriver.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Guess I'll try again to call it a night.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/font&gt;</content>
